Graz is located at the heart of Styria in southern Austria and is easy to reach by air, rail or road. The Graz Airport is only 6 kilometres from the city center and has excellent coach and taxi connections. There are daily return flights to Vienna and many regular air services to other European destinations. Direct worldwide links are provided from Vienna Airport, located two hours drive from Graz via the A2 highway. Trains depart every hour from Vienna to Graz Central Station (timetable) and further to Leibnitz (timetable), a small city located 35 km south of Graz near Schloss Seggau.

From Vienna:

• Fly to Graz (45 min.) and then take a taxi or rent a car as given below.
  
• Take a train to Graz Central Station (2.5 hours, 27.60 EUR) from Vienna South-Station and then change train to Leibnitz (40 min., 7.30 EUR) as given below:

• Rent a car: via the A2 highway (Vienna-Graz) and then via the A9 highway (Graz-Leibnitz, exit "Leibnitz"); the driving takes about 2.5 hours.

 

From Graz Airport:

• Take a taxi to Schloss Seggau (20 min., about 35 EUR). We recommend to confirm the rate with the driver before you take the taxi.

From Graz Central Station (Hauptbahnhof, Hbf):

• Take a regular train from Graz to Leibnitz (40 min., 7.30 EUR) and then take a taxi to Schloss Seggau.

Leibnitz train station is only a few km away from Schloss Seggau. A taxi costs approx. 6 EUR. If there is no taxi waiting at the train station (it is quite a small station), you should call (there is a public telephone booth in the station) one of the following numbers of local taxi companies:
